2011 Reflection
(these seem popular, so why not)
- Love Hate Relationship - Me and Apple, they finally gave up on repairing my 15” Macbook Pro (2010 model) and replaced it with a new one (2011 model), not a problem since.
- Deduction! - Not talking about reasoning, talking about forming a corporation to make taxes easier, since they are one of the things you can count on.
- Too Many Memberships - I swim at El Salido, occasionally workout at the Cedar Park Rec Center and spent my X-mas vacation swimming my ass off in the wee hours of the night at 24Hour Fitness (Lake Creek)
- Long Live the Rolla - Finally bought myself a new car, well new to me, it is a 2010 Toyota Matrix, blue!
- Four little words, “No More Blue Drinks”. Kevin checked on me to make sure I wasn’t dead, thankfully I wasn’t. No thanks to Alan, who kept the blue drinks coming during that business trip in Tampa.
- Reconnecting with old coworkers/friends - When you have been around the prepaid long-distance business for a while, you realize, no one really leaves, they just go to some other company in the business. (Not always true, but a lot of the Simplified crew have kept with it.) Other times, you just convince them to come work with you.
- This young man went west - Finally got out to Portland to visit my sister. Had a Bacon Doughnut that as the Voodoo that they do so well out in the Austin of Oregon.
- Pip-Pip and Cheerios! - I met what I call the British version of me, someone working at a telecom software company based in the UK, that well has had similar career beginnings, but our paths led to different points along the skill tree (RPG terms). Regardless, have enjoyed dealing with most of the Brits that that company, most, not all. That is all
2011 has been a really, really busy year. From the looks of it 2012 on the work side of things will be equally as busy and fairly lucrative as well. I have to talk to my in-laws, but I really want to spend all summer up at the cottage, but to do so, some high-speed Interwebs will need to be procured.
