Saw a giant snapping turtle while paddling on the lake, wasn’t fast enough to grab my camera and take a shot. And after I had it out and was trying to find him again, I wasn’t fast enough to position myself and take the shot before he disappeared.
Those fsckers are fast in the water. I was a little just ever so slightly scared he might become enraged and leap out of the water and drag me to an early watery grave. Not sure why, maybe because the one that my FIL rescued from the road and set on the beach at the cottage was so slow and barely moved and this guy in the water was like ninja quick.
